Please note:
This course is run in Chinese Mandarin with native speaker instructor over 2 days field training & tour + online pre-study.
本課程由中文普通話的母語講師教授，包括為期兩天的實地培訓和導覽，以及線上預習課程。

Course format:
This course is a ‘hybrid’ course, taking 2 days in person + pre-study and live theory lesson online (approx 5-6hrs total).
本課程為「混合式」課程，包含兩天的實體課程 + 線上預習及直播理論課程（約 5-6 小時）。課程由兩位講師授課——一位為母語講師，另一位為非母語講師。

Gear & Rental:
It is required to have 1 avalanche set (¥6,000) : Pack,Probe,Shovel & Transceiver (Beacon) touring gear (¥14,000) – skis / split-board or snowshoes is acceptable. If you need to rent equipment please contact us for more details.

需要配備 1 套雪崩裝備（¥6,000）：背包、探測棒、鏟子和無線電訊號發射器（信標）。
滑雪或登山裝備（¥14,000）：滑雪板 / 分離式滑雪板或雪鞋皆可接受。

Do you need rental equipment?

For rental equipment please visit our friends at Hakuba Central Snowsports. You will be provided a discount code for rentals at checkout.

Please arrange fitting and collection of your equipment with Central Snowsports.
We suggest you do this at least the day before your first day of the course / tour.

Important:

  • If you are staying in Hakuba, Central Snowsports offer a pick up service to collect your equipment and will drop you back at your hotel afterwards.
  • For customers taking a course or tour outside of Hakuba, a member of JOI will pick up the equipment for you and bring to the meeting location where they will help set up equipment if required.
  • When organising your rental equipment please provide central snowsports the following information in the notes section of their website:

Snowboarders

  • Stance (goofy/regular)
  • Stance width (if known, not essential)
  • Stance angles (if known, not essential)
  • If they are using their own boots, size in US
  • Preferred board length

Skiers

  • If they are using their own boots, boot sole length in mm (printed on the side of the heel)
  • Preferred ski length

Please ensure you rent equipment for the required number of days

  • AST 1 : 2 days
  • AST 2 : 4 days.
  • BC Tour : 1 day or more if multiday tour.
