WHAT YOU’LL LEARN FOR ROCK 1 Day training
• Learn about general approaches to climbing using your climbing gear and why, setting up at a crag (& Etiquettes), handy ‘pro-tips’ of things to bring, along with of course a safety briefing.
• Then get started on learning your basic knots, climbing redundancy, climbing buddy checks, initial top-rope climbing/belaying ascending/descending and correct communication.
• Finally get more comfortable and start refining technique with climbing hand & foot holds, body positions and route spotting. You will expect to climb between 4-6 routes over the day, sometimes less and sometimes more depending on how you are experiencing the day!
Within our training area, there is little to worry with no great exposure, and easy resting area safe from rockfall and nicely shaded from sun and well protected from the rain, with toilet nearby – so it’s the perfect environment to build your confidence outdoors!
