Mountaineering LVL 1 / Alpine Summit
Duration: 2 days / 1 night (Mountain Lodge accommodation)
Experience: Beginner Level (0-5 Hiking / Mountain trips)

These 3 locations are chosen carefully for there ease to access the alpine areas via Gondola, Ropeway & direct approach. All offering lodge accomodation for an efficient training and maximised time outdoors.
Day 01: Teaching basic mountaineering gear use, snow/ice hiking skills, reading weather & planning trip, how and what to pack. Applied in safe contained environments to practice emergency procedures, steep climbing techniques and terrain awareness.
Day 02: From the initial first day approach to lodge/hut, rise early to get ready and make a push to the summit! Leaving ample time to soak up the views and make a safe descent off the mountain.

Mountaineering LVL 2 / High Alpine Summit
Duration: 2 days / 1 night (Mountain Lodge accomodation)
Experience: Intermediate Level (5+ mountain climbs)

Embrace some of Japan’s famous 100 peaks across the Northern, Southern & Central Alsp to progress your alpine skills under our close guidance, to make your first ascent to these challenging summits. Where you have a 360º view of the northern alps, southern alps and Mt Fuji on the clearest days. Our certified alpine guides (ACMG, JMGA) will expertly teach you all the fundamentals for your climb.
Day 01: Teaching refresh mountaineering gear use, steep ascending, emergency arrests, avalanche/companion rescue with basic rope, snow/ice hiking skills, reading weather & planning trip, how and what to pack.
Day 02: With an early alpine start (04:30) to make a push to the summit, allowing plenty of time for extra guidance, enjoying the views and a safe descent down the mountain to arrive before dark (17:00)

Alpine Experience / Tateyama

Spend a multi-discipline optioned trip to the true Jewel of Alpine Japan in Tateyama. Your choice of taking a roped ascent of TsurugiDake Alpine style – crampons & ice tools. OR join with our FreeRide team with skis/splitboard to tackle the famous ridgelines and hair-raising descents.
Our certified alpine guides (ACMG, JMGA, CSIA) will expertly guide and teach you all the fundamentals for alpine climbing – whether on skis or in boots.

Ice Climbing LVL 1 / Yatsugatake, Nagano
Duration: 2 days / 1 night (Mountain Lodge accomodation)
Location: Yatsugatake Volcanic Range, man-made & natural ice falls (Wi3-Wi4)
Progress your climbing at Yatsugatake, the central ice-climbing hub of Japan. With central lodge accomodation you have access to a training ice wall immediately nearby. With then short approaches to access popular icefalls to try out your skills and challenge. Our certified alpine guides (ACMG, JCMGA) will expertly teach you all the fundamentals for your climb.
Day 01: 09:00 2 hrs approach to lodge. Teaching basic ice climbing gear use, approach & snow/ice hiking skills, how to ice climb on top rope – man-made ice
Day 02: 07:00 1 hr approach to icefall crag, 15-30m single pitch route, climbing for 3-4 hours, lunch & descend – natural ice fall

Ice Climbing LVL 2 / Yonago Fudo, Nagano
Duration: 2 days / 1 night (Mountain Lodge accomodation)
Location: Yonago Fudo Falls 90m (Wi4-Wi6), Suzaka, Nagano
Join our short expedition style experience to Japan’s tallest Ice Water Fall formation close to Nagano City. With an alpine start for early approach on ski-mobile then skis, take basics training or refresh and warm up on the ice! Stay overnight in modest accomodation with meals provided. Enjoy another half day climbing with our certified alpine guides (ACMG, JCMGA) who will expertly teach you all the fundamentals for your climb.
Day 01: Start 08:00 – Check gear & start approach, refresh ice climbing gear use & snow/ice hiking skills, ice climb on top rope, introduction leading – Man-made/natural
Day 02: Start (07:00) for approach to crag, 15-30m single pitch route top rope & lead climbing, lunch & descend – natural ice fall

Rock Climbing Tour / Ogawayama, Nagano
Duration: 2 days / 1 night (Mountain Lodge Accomodation or Camping)
Location: Ogawayama ranges 小川山 up to 2,400m+, Nagano
Experience: Beginner Level to Intermediate Level / Advanced available
What is known as one of the two top climbing mecca’s of Japan with countless routes. Boasting great bouldering, sport climbing, trad climbing and some lovely multi-pitch and alpine style routes on Japan’s hard granite.
Suitable for anyone, whether you are a beginner, from indoors to outdoors or experienced and wanting to progress further and have guidance of experienced instructors. Join as a group, or schedule private guiding we will take you to some of the best classic routes and mix styles from slab, crack through to overhangs.

MOUNTAIN INSURANCE POLICY –
Included in tour & training is our backcountry insurance for any incidents or evacuation covering up to ¥5m. However it is our policy that each participant has a valid personal insurance which covers ‘extreme activities’ including backcountry & mountain climbing. We recommend :
